Kristina Piehl- Ochoa

Licensed Massage Therapist

National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork

BodyWise Wellness & Spa Owner

I graduated from National University of Health Sciences, in Lombard, IL, on August 19, 2010, with certification in massage therapy. I am nationally certified through NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork). I am a member of AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association), and am licensed in the state of Wisconsin.

I use a combination of Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release techniques in order to relax the nervous system, soften muscle tissue and increase joint mobility. I believe in the body's ability to heal itself and that massage therapy is one of the many paths to restoring health and wholeness to the body. I am a strong supporter of self-care, and my intention for every session is to create a space that allows the mind and body to return to its natural state of harmony and balance.

I started BodyWise when I was 23 years old, in 2011. I’ve just always liked the idea of having something of my own and I have a passion for health and wellness that I want to share with everyone.

I am a Certified Panchakarma Bliss Treatment body worker (Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Svedana) and Certified Ayurveda Practitioner, receiving both certifications from Kanyakumari Ayurveda & Yoga Wellness Center. I am also a Level II certified Medicinal Aromatherapist and an Animal Communicator. My additional certifications include Reiki Master/Teacher, Shamanic Practitioner for Animals, and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.

Ayurveda's foundational teachings are to return the body, mind and spirit to a natural state of balance. One of the main body treatments is the Ayurveda "Bliss Package."  This is a deeply grounding, soothing and nourishing experience. The Abhyanga (loving-hands) treatment involves a warm, herbalized oil being lightly massaged over your entire body. It is calming to the nervous system, rejuvenating to the body and nourishing to the muscles and body tissues.  Being part of the Panchakarma program, so it also has a detoxing and cleansing effect. It is truly a Blissful experience!

I look forward to sharing in your healing journey.

Amanda Rice

Licensed Massage Therapist

I have always been fascinated with the idea that you can heal someone through touch. I decided to leave the corporate world in search of my true passion as a massage therapist. I graduated from Milwaukee School of Massage in April 2015. I am a state licensed and nationally certified massage therapist and bodyworker and Reiki level II. I am also a member of ABMP. While at school, I learned multiple massage modalities that I like to incorporate in my sessions including: Swedish, neuromuscular, myofascial, lymphatic drainage, crania-sacral therapy, chair and sports massage. Also, foot reflexology, Letha yoga, med-cupping, hot stone, and gua sha.

  Shari Howe

  Licensed Massage Therapist

I graduated from the Soma Institute in Chicago, IL and have been a massage therapist for six years. I have an integrative style of massage that allows me to achieve the best outcome for my clients including: Swedish, fascial release, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy (trigger point), cupping, gua sha, and hot stone/ synergy stone massage. I use a lot of forearm and elbow techniques to get deep into the muscle tissue, which allows for a relaxing but very effective massage. Even with light pressure relaxation massages I still believe the client should leave feeling a difference in their body.

My favorite areas of the body to work on are neck and shoulders and the sacral/hip area because I have experienced pain in those areas and know great techniques to restore them back to better function. Being a mother of two, I also know the stress that pregnancy puts on the body and can help you with that in a prenatal massage.

I offer craniosacral therapy sessions. I studied through the Upledger Institute. Craniosacral therapy is a very gentle modality that balances the craniosacral system of the body. It's like a massage for your nervous system!

I always strive to give my best to each of my clients and I am focused and adaptable during our session. I truly enjoy helping my clients feel better and manage their stress and pain.

John Stolfe

Certified Health Coach

Workplace/Organizational Well-Being Consultant

Rhythm Facilitator

John Stolfe began his career in health and wellness over two decades ago, first in the nutritional products industry, eventually working in employee wellness/wellbeing for a Fortune 500 organization. Additionally, John has worked in the field of music education and interactive music for nearly 20 years. He received a Bachelor of Science - Business Management/Human Resource Management in 1992 from Roosevelt University in Chicago. In 2016, he earned the Certification as Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, and completed training as a HealthRHYTHMS Facilitator.

As the founder of UpBeat Wellness, John works with individuals, corporations and organizations assisting them as they navigate through the complexities of their wellness journey. Whether an individual, group or corporation, he affectively serves as the missing link in the healthcare system, serving as a mentor empowering clients, supporting their behavior changes and providing guidance in accomplishing their wellness goals. Taking an individualized whole person approach to well-being, individuals and groups are led to creating the path that is right for them. One that is practical, achievable and attainable.

One of John’s core philosophies is when people have fun, and enjoy the experience, they are more inclined to be successful in accomplishing their goals. Whether considering various dietary theories, mind-body experiences or life-skills, John aims to educate, provide hope and inspire. Programs are uniquely designed to be engaging, thought-provoking, and “upbeat” with a dose of fun! He frequently uses music and drumming in individual and group wellness settings, for a fun and engaging experience, using scientifically researched, and evidence-based programs. John believes that we are at a point in healthcare, where it is necessary to acknowledge that there is no single way to approach health, wellness and well-being. Every individual person, organization and corporation is vastly different from the next. The journey to wellness/wellbeing for each is vastly different and unique as well. What works for one, may not be the best approach for another; what works today, may not be the solution next month or next year. As individuals and organizations, we all are living, evolving beings; we must understand that our health, wellness and well-being is also continuously evolving. John is thrilled to join and collaborate with the team at BodyWise Wellness and Spa! He eagerly looks forward to bringing innovative wellness and wellbeing strategies to the residents, organizations and corporations that call the city of Kenosha, Kenosha County and the surrounding communities their home.

Karen Zander

Certified Yoga Instructor

My passion is to help others find strength and balance on and off the mat, using yoga, crystals and Thai massage to release tensions from the body, mind and emotions.

I first took a yoga class after surgery and chemotherapy, thinking yoga would be a good way to rebuild physical strength.  Finding that yoga improved strength, flexibility and balance of the mind as well as the body, my yoga journey began.  I have been teaching yoga since 2009 and am certified by Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 500).  I have additional training in yoga therapy, restorative yoga, pranayama, meditation and certification in teaching Trauma Sensitive Yoga.  During yoga therapy training I was introduced to the healing energy/vibration of crystals and also to Thai massage (facilitated stretching and energy movement).  These areas interested me and I pursued additional training and then certification in crystal healing and Northern Thai massage.  My most recent certification is in Brain Longevity Therapy, from the Alzheimers Research and Prevention Foundation.

I look forward to working with you, to help you find the peace and balance that you deserve.  The light that dwells is me honors and respects the light that dwells in you, Namaste.

Heidi Zalewski

Certified Yoga Instructor

Heidi has been practicing yoga since 2006. She has always been physically active and at the same time always sought a sense of connection and wholeness through spiritual and meditative practices. She found the perfect combination of these aspects of health and wellness in Yoga.  Heidi has her Master’s Degree in Social Work and originally worked with adolescents with substance abuse issues. As her children have grown and become more independent, Heidi has had time to focus more thoroughly on her yoga practice. It was like coming home, as she feels the trajectory of yoga for her has been a lifelong process of reconnecting to her true self and purpose.  It seemed a natural progression to complete her 200 hour yoga teacher training enabling her to share the healing and growth she has found through yoga with others.

Heidi’s teaching style emphasizes healthy alignment as it applies to each individual. She focusses on connecting to and working with the breath and body enabling one to be fully present in one’s yoga (and life) in a mindful way. She places great importance on enabling students to take ownership of their yoga practice in a way that is right for each student beginning with a sense of acceptance and love.

Kelly Ferro
Psychic Medium

My life's mission is to show you that life exists on the other side. I want you to know that your loved ones are always with you. Although you may not physically see them, they never leave your side. They want to offer us unconditional love and guidance. They want us to notice the clever signs they present to us through out the day. Through songs, butterflies, nature, pennies, and more. It is a way for them to communicate with us. A way to reach out to us to bring us comfort. You may have had that connection already. If so, trust it! If I could provide some kind of evidence showing you that your loved ones are in the presence of God and living in a realm of pure love, then I have done my job. I want you to know your loved ones reside eternally in a beautiful paradise called heaven.

I am not here to prove myself to anyone, although it's sometimes fun to see the look on a skeptics face. All joking aside, I am here to show you what I know to be true. By the way spirit has a sense of humor. They want us to smile and laugh and not take life too serious. I'm the voice of spirit and my life's purpose is to honor your passed loved ones by sharing with you their beautiful messages straight from heaven.
